Where the server lives

CyberPanel in Rio de Janeiro

With Rio de Janeiro selected, your VPS with CyberPanel runs in Mega's original data center, on our own network with a presence at the Rio internet exchange (IX.br) and redundant transit. It is the lowest latency for users in Rio, Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais, and our support team works in the same city as the server.

What is CyberPanel?

CyberPanel is an open-source control panel built around OpenLiteSpeed. It already integrates MariaDB, Postfix and Dovecot for email, PowerDNS for DNS and Pure-FTPd for FTP, so you manage everything in one place.

Its main advantage is LSCache, the LiteSpeed cache for WordPress, which reduces page response times. Each site you create gets a domain, a PHP version, a database, email accounts and a free SSL certificate.

At Mega Dedicados the panel runs on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, with Redis and Memcached available. Passwords, keys and certificates are generated on your server's first boot, so only you have them.

Frequently asked questions

CyberPanel FAQ

How much does a VPS with CyberPanel cost?

The Basic plan costs US$ 11.95 per month, and Plus, which we recommend, costs US$ 16.95. CyberPanel with OpenLiteSpeed is a free panel, so you only pay for the VPS.

Is CyberPanel free? How is it different from cPanel?

CyberPanel is open source and uses OpenLiteSpeed, with a focus on WordPress performance. cPanel is a different panel, which at Mega runs on AlmaLinux 9, while CyberPanel runs on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS.

How much memory does CyberPanel need?

The panel fits in 1024 MB of free memory or more. In our tests, with all services active and no sites, it used about 850 MB, so choose a plan with some headroom for your sites.

How do I log in to CyberPanel after installation?

Open the address sent by email and WhatsApp, on port 8090, and sign in with the admin user and the password you received. The certificate is valid, so there is no browser warning, and passwords are generated on your server's first boot.

Can I send email with CyberPanel hosting?

Yes, the panel comes with Postfix and Dovecot installed. Set up DKIM and SPF for your domain to reduce the chance of your emails landing in spam.

Who updates a self-hosted CyberPanel VPS and who provides support?

You update the panel yourself in Version Management, and Ubuntu security fixes are applied automatically. 24/7 support (in Portuguese) covers the server: hardware, network, operating system and performance. Using the panel itself is covered by the vendor's documentation.

Where is the CyberPanel VPS hosting located?

You choose Rio de Janeiro or São Paulo, Brazil when ordering, at the same price in both. The data centers have their own network at both Brazilian internet exchange points (PTT) and redundant transit.

Is there a contract or a guarantee?

There is no lock-in contract. You pay with Pix, card or boleto, on a monthly, semiannual or annual cycle, and you have 7 days to request a refund.
