What Mega does
We run the MK-Auth server
MK-Auth is the authentication, bandwidth control and customer management system most used by small and mid-size ISPs in Brazil: PPPoE, Hotspot, boletos (Brazilian bank payment slips), Pix (Brazil's instant payment system) and automatic suspensions. We deliver the server ready for MK-Auth, with full access and an HTTPS certificate.
Installed and delivered
MK-Auth comes already installed on the server, with NVMe, memory and CPU sized for your customer tier. ISP configuration and data import are done with MK-Auth support.
Protection and backup
Inline DDoS mitigation, included. Snapshot before every change and daily off-server backup as an option.

Why host MK-Auth in Rio de Janeiro
MK-Auth authenticates PPPoE and suspends or restores the subscriber. In Rio, an ISP in RJ, ES or MG gets that response within a few milliseconds, without a detour through São Paulo.
The machine sits in our data center in Rio de Janeiro, on our own network, with the Rio internet exchange (IX.br) and dual transit. It is Mega's original location.

São Paulo
Why host MK-Auth in São Paulo
For concentrators spread across several states, São Paulo is the shortest point on the national network: the MK-Auth RADIUS responds over fewer hops, and boleto and Pix integrations sit in the same location.
We host in São Paulo on our own network, with presence at the São Paulo internet exchange (IX.br) and two transit providers, at the same price as Rio.

Before ordering Cloud MK-Auth
Is the MK-Auth license included?
No. The license is purchased directly from MK-Auth. The server comes ready for installation and activation of your license.
Which plan should I choose?
The tiers (100, 300, 500, 800, 1,200) are the number of customers authenticating on MK-Auth. If in doubt, start with the tier that matches your current number of customers; changing later is an upgrade.
Do you import the customers from my old MK-Auth?
Data import and system migration are handled by MK-Auth support, which knows the database and its routines. Mega delivers the server with MK-Auth installed and stays on standby during the migration window for anything related to the server and network.
When do I contact Mega and when do I contact MK-Auth?
