What is Mautic

Mautic is open-source marketing automation software, used as an alternative to paid platforms such as HubSpot and Mailchimp. It keeps your contacts in one place and records website visits and email interactions. Based on that data, it triggers automatic actions.

In the campaign builder you create visual journeys. Someone who fills out a form joins a segment, receives a sequence of emails, earns points with each interaction and moves to the next funnel stage. Forms and landing pages are also built inside the tool itself.

At Mega, Mautic 7 comes with MariaDB and with the scheduled task and queue processes running. Email sending is up to you: in Settings > Email Settings, enter the SMTP details or the service you already use, such as Amazon SES, SendGrid or Brevo.

Which plan to choose for Mautic

Idle Mautic uses about 620 MB, so Basic already runs it well and is the recommended plan. Move up if your lists grow or if you send many emails at the same time.

FAQ about Mautic hosting

What are the minimum VPS requirements for Mautic?

Mautic needs at least 1536 MB of free memory. That is why we recommend the Basic plan, with 2 vCore, 2 GB RAM and 40 GB NVMe. Start, with 1 GB, does not meet this minimum.

How much does a VPS with Mautic cost?

The Basic plan, the recommended one, costs US$ 11.95 per month. There is no charge per number of contacts: you pay only for the server, and email delivery is billed by the service you choose.

Does Mautic send emails right after installation?

No, sending has to be configured. In Settings > Email Settings, enter the SMTP details or the key of a service such as Amazon SES, SendGrid or Brevo. Sending directly from the server usually sends messages to spam.

Does Mautic have a Portuguese interface?

The Mautic interface is in English. The emails, forms and landing pages you create can be fully in Portuguese or any other language.

How do I get access to my self-hosted Mautic?

We do the installation, with HTTPS and an administrator already created. Your login details arrive by email and WhatsApp, with passwords generated just for you.

Who updates Mautic on my VPS?

You run updates whenever you want, through root access over SSH. Mautic is delivered at version 7.2.1, and it is good practice to test before updating an environment in use.

Can I run other apps on the same VPS as Mautic?

Yes. Each app gets its own address, as long as the memory can handle all of them. For Mautic together with WordPress or n8n, Plus is a safer choice.

Is there a contract, a refund and support?

There is no lock-in, and you have 7 days to request a refund. Support in Portuguese is available 24/7 by WhatsApp, ticket and phone for server issues. Using Mautic itself follows the project's documentation.
