VPS plans for hosting Baserow

Baserow runs PostgreSQL and Redis inside its own container, so it uses more memory than a simple app. The Start plan is too small; Basic is what we recommend to get started.

Where the server lives

Baserow in Rio de Janeiro

With Rio de Janeiro selected, your VPS with Baserow runs in Mega's original data center, on our own network with a presence at the Rio internet exchange (IX.br) and redundant transit. It is the lowest latency for users in Rio, Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais, and our support team works in the same city as the server.

What is Baserow

Baserow is an open source platform for building databases without programming. Each table supports text, number, date, select, attachment and link-to-table fields, and editing feels like a spreadsheet.

On the same data you can open grid, gallery, kanban, calendar or form views. There are also dashboards, automations and a dedicated REST API for each table, accessed with tokens.

On your VPS we install the full Baserow 2.4.1 image, which already includes PostgreSQL and Redis. On first start it imports a gallery of ready-made templates, and public sign-up is disabled: only the administrator invites new users.

What you get with the VPS

  • Baserow 2.4.1 in a Docker container, on Debian 13
  • Your own HTTPS URL with a Let's Encrypt certificate
  • Admin account created, with login details sent by email and WhatsApp
  • Public sign-up disabled, PostgreSQL and Redis built in
  • Root access via SSH
  • VPS panel in the client area: restart, reinstall, change password and console
  • 1 Gbps network with unlimited traffic, IPv4 and IPv6, and inline DDoS protection

Which plan to choose for Baserow

Baserow needs at least 2560 MB of free memory, so Plus already covers simple use. Pro is the recommended plan, since it gives headroom on first start and as usage grows.

PlanBest for
Plus
2 vCore · 4 GB
To start with Baserow alone on the server, with a small team and few tables, meeting the minimum memory requirement.

4 vCore · 6 GB
Recommended: headroom on first start and for daily team use, with forms and API running smoothly.
Turbo
4 vCore · 12 GB
For larger bases and more simultaneous users, or to share the server with another light app next to Baserow.
Max

Frequently asked questions

FAQ: Baserow on a VPS

How much does Baserow hosting cost?

The cost is the price of the VPS plan. Basic, recommended to get started, is per month, and Plus is US$ 16.95. You can pay by Pix, card or boleto, with no lock-in, and you have 7 days to request a refund.

What are the minimum VPS specs to run Baserow?

Basic is the plan we recommend. Baserow uses more than 2 GB of memory on first start and about 1.1 GB afterwards, so Start, with 1 GB, is not enough.

Can I install Baserow alongside other apps on one VPS?

Yes. Each app gets its own URL on the same VPS, as long as the memory fits all of them. For Baserow and n8n together, Plus is the safest choice.

Can anyone create an account on my Baserow?

No. Public sign-up is disabled by default and only the administrator invites new users.

Is the Baserow interface available in Portuguese?

No, the interface is in English. Your table names, fields and data can be in Portuguese or any other language.

Who updates Baserow on my VPS?

The delivered version is fixed (2.4.1), so nothing changes unless you ask. When you want to update, connect to the server by SSH as root and swap the image after testing.

Does self-hosted Baserow have an API?

Yes. Each table gets a REST API, accessed with tokens you generate in Baserow itself. This lets automation tools and your own systems read and write data.

Is support included with a VPS with Baserow?

Yes, 24/7, in Portuguese, by WhatsApp, ticket and phone, for anything involving the server. Using Baserow itself is covered by the project's documentation.
