Where the server lives

AdminBolt in Rio de Janeiro

With Rio de Janeiro selected, your VPS with AdminBolt runs in Mega's original data center, on our own network with a presence at the Rio internet exchange (IX.br) and redundant transit. It is the lowest latency for users in Rio, Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais, and our support team works in the same city as the server.

What AdminBolt is

AdminBolt is a commercial hosting control panel launched between 2025 and 2026, created by founders linked to ModulesGarden. It is built for hosting providers and works as an alternative to cPanel and Plesk. The current version is 1.9.2.

On the web side, you can choose between Apache, LiteSpeed and OpenLiteSpeed, and switch from within the panel. It offers Multi-PHP with three engines, MySQL, MariaDB and PostgreSQL databases, plus email, DNS, backups and Let's Encrypt certificates. Security includes ModSecurity with OWASP CRS, a firewall and brute-force protection. Node.js, Python and Ruby, as well as LVE limits, require CloudLinux.

There are three interfaces: admin (servers, accounts, plans and DNS), reseller, and client (sites, email, DNS and files). Multiple servers can be managed from one central panel, the Hub, with single sign-on (SSO). It has a full REST API and integrations with WHMCS, Blesta, Upmind, Imunify360, Softaculous and JetBackup. The license is paid and charged per server, with a 30-day trial that needs no credit card.

What to use a VPS with AdminBolt for

Host client websites

Agencies can keep many sites and domains on the same server, each client in their own account, without paying a license per account.

Resell hosting

The reseller panel and the WHMCS, Blesta and Upmind integrations help you sell plans and automate account creation.

WordPress sites

The WordPress Toolkit brings installation and management of multiple WordPress sites into one place.

Move off cPanel or DirectAdmin

bolt-migrate imports accounts from cPanel and DirectAdmin servers directly from the panel.

Your own email and DNS

Mailboxes and DNS zones live on the same server as your sites and are managed from the same interface.

Grow to more servers

When one VPS is not enough, the Hub centralizes management of multiple servers with single sign-on.

What comes already configured

AdminBolt installed

The panel arrives ready on AlmaLinux 9, with no need to run the installer yourself.

HTTPS panel

Access is through port 8443, already with a certificate.

Unique credentials

Passwords, keys and certificates are generated on your server's first boot, not copied from a default image.

Root access over SSH

You get full control of the system, beyond the panel.

IPv4 and IPv6

The VPS comes with 1 IPv4 and IPv6, on a shared 1 Gbps port with unlimited traffic.

License or trial

The paid license, or the vendor's 30-day trial, is activated inside the panel.

From order to first site

    Choose a plan

Select Basic, Plus, Pro or Turbo and pay by Pix, card or boleto, on a monthly, semiannual or annual cycle.

  2. 2

Get the server ready to use

The VPS is delivered with AdminBolt installed, and the login details arrive by email and WhatsApp.

  3. 3

    Activate the license

Open the panel at your server's address on port 8443 and activate the license or the vendor's 30-day trial.

  4. 4

    Configure and migrate

Create plans and accounts, point your domains' DNS, and bring over old sites with bolt-migrate if they come from cPanel or DirectAdmin.

Which plan to choose

AdminBolt requires 2 GB of RAM and the panel needs at least 2048 MB free, so Pro is the plan we recommend, as it leaves memory for your sites, databases and email. Choose Turbo or Max if you host many sites or have high traffic.

PlanBest for
Plus
2 vCore · 4 GB
Works for testing the panel or running a single light site, but leaves little free memory beyond the 2 GB AdminBolt requires.
Pro
4 vCore · 6 GB
The recommended plan: the panel fits comfortably in 6 GB, with memory left for sites, databases and email.
Turbo
4 vCore · 12 GB
Suited to those hosting several sites or projects with more visitors, larger databases and mailboxes in constant use.
Max
6 vCore · 18 GB
For agencies, resellers and online stores with many accounts and high traffic, who need more processing power, memory and NVMe space.
Frequently asked questions

AdminBolt FAQ

What is AdminBolt, the self-hosted hosting panel?

It is a commercial hosting control panel for managing sites, email, DNS, databases and backups on a Linux server that you run yourself. It was created as an alternative to cPanel and Plesk, and the current version is 1.9.2.

Is AdminBolt free? How much does the license cost?

No, the license is paid and charged per server, not per account. On a VPS, accounts and domains are unlimited. The vendor offers a 30-day trial with no credit card, and the current price is on adminbolt.com. The license is bought separately, from the vendor or a reseller.

What are the AdminBolt system requirements?

You need AlmaLinux 9 or Rocky Linux 9, 2 GB of RAM (4 GB recommended), 2 cores and 20 GB of disk. At Mega, the Pro plan, with 4 GB, is the recommended one.

How do I access AdminBolt on my VPS after ordering?

You receive the login details by email and WhatsApp. The panel runs over HTTPS on port 8443 of your server's address, and that is where you activate the license or the 30-day trial.

Can I migrate sites from cPanel or DirectAdmin to AdminBolt?

Yes. AdminBolt includes the bolt-migrate tool, which imports accounts from both panels through its own interface, so you do not have to rebuild each site by hand.

Does AdminBolt support LiteSpeed and CloudLinux?

It supports LiteSpeed and OpenLiteSpeed as alternatives to Apache, switched from within the panel. Node.js, Python, Ruby and LVE limits require CloudLinux, which is a separate license and is not included on this AlmaLinux 9 VPS.

Does Mega support AdminBolt hosting?

24/7 support in Portuguese covers the server: hardware, network, operating system and performance, by WhatsApp, ticket or phone. Using the panel itself follows the vendor's documentation at docs.adminbolt.com.

Is there a contract or a refund policy?

There is no lock-in contract. You can pay monthly, semiannually or annually, by Pix, card or boleto, and you have 7 days to request a refund.
